Classic "soviet"....inside joints are "raw" (no hemming, roughly cut, HUGE white cloth label with stamps on etc)...and hi waisted.....'would look at home on Anton doing the American Smooth.....

I have a Romanian Warsaw Pact period khaki beret which is dreadfully made. It reminds me of an early 1960s Christmas present I got (I was six years old but I remember it clearly) of a toy 7th US Cavalry outfit (you know the blue with yellow leg stripes and that peculier smell of the textiles of that time).
Not the sort of quality you would wear to a day on the beach let alone on military ops in the field!
