Hello friends, I am putting together a display of what I call "battle worn" items. Since I don't know the entire history of these items, some may display post war use. Nonetheless, I note many displays have squeaky clean mint items and I wanted to put something together that would reflect a long stretch of front line service. I note the Marschstiefel are particularly worn but the repair appears to be period. I will avoid relic or ground dug items but the overall goal is to collect items with honest use. I am looking for a decent display mannequin with neutral body. Neil

Thank you so very much. You have no idea how this makes me feel - I'm honored to hear from my peers around the globe! I have some missing pieces yet to collect. I need proper gas mask straps, a gas sheet, shovel carrier and trousers. Neil

Neil, I really like the concept and your reasoning behind this display. These items look like they are all from the same soldier and if this was one of the aims then you have well and truly achieved it.

    Well done.

I prefer this over a minty display (unless of course you are displaying a walking out uniform). Much more character.

    Very nice.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
