This is the closest thing I have to an issue New Zealand DPM garment.
It's a Kiwi made Swanndri woolen game vest in NZ DPM out of the late 80's.
I am quite sure Swanndri made a long (below the knee's) slip on woolen garment for the NZ Army back in the 80's-90's in the day's before fleece and gortex. The original 'Swanny" was in OD but later build's were in this DPM.
I have a OD civi fleece version hiding somewhere,I'll dig it out.
A well constructed, warm and wind proof Kiwi garment.
This is the latest I've heard about US camo replacement US Army Facing Big Challenges in 2012
ACU for rubble only? what where they thinking?
off the subject check this site you will get allot of enjoyment out of it Military Video Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard - Military.com
Cheers for the link Rene
Yep what were they thinking.
Crye Multicam as you know is flavour of the month at present and appears a much better all terrain pattern. The new British cam pattern is also based on it I believe.
Ok I could not wait it has to be as well my favorite post war cam pattern that was ever manufactured The trousers are not in the best condition but they will do till I can find a better example these took me six months to find this example.
Kind regards Mark K
Ahh Lovely Set there Mark K
I've never seen the trousers before. looks like a later patt than my jacket, mine has press snaps and no zipper

Congrats Mark they are pretty dam cool mate.
On second thought they look at little more like bunnys and jelly beans (AusCam) than the SS pattern I previously mentioned.
Rene does your field jacket have a flap attached to the back or does the back seperate and you can tie them to either leg like the old para smocks design
