    A 1/6 scale Kennedy Arms knife ---

A week ago, I received this tiny box in the mail from our Canadian friend.
Inside was a miniature work of art. The knife is an exact 1/6 scale miniature
of a ww2 era Kennedy Arms fighting knife.

A couple of years ago, I had posted my collection of fighting knives and how I was
trying to find 1/6 scale miniatures of those same knives. I commented on how there
were no miniature versions to be found of a couple of my rarer knives. This Kennedy
Arms knife being one of them. Ralph reached out to me offering his talent and this is the result.

The level of detail just blows me away. The blade shape is perfect and even has bluing
    to match the original.

Then there is the handle and crossguard. The original knife has a leather backed
crossguard attached by rivets. This mini has a two piece crossguard with rivets
and also has the small slots cut into the backing. These are tiny. The entire guard
is only 12.7mm long with each layer being less than .8 mm. The handle is the correct
full tang with slab wood grips attached with two pins.

Ralph Thank you again. It is a miniature masterpiece.

Thank you for letting me do this for you Greg!
I am glad you like it!
I just get a thrill out of the challenge of doing things like this to see how close I can get, it's a little bit therapeutic for me as well.
Sometimes I find myself sitting and watching tele, when I should be out in the shop creating.

The backing for the cross guard is also leather, I just had a difficult time to find a leather stiff enough to use this thin, I started applying crazy glue to the edges to stop any "hairs" and to keep it smooth. Sort of unfortunately, the leather just soaked it up, so, that's what I went with.
Happy to be able to help! Looking forward to a new photo of the mini display!
    Ralph.
