Really in a terrible condition, sleeves shortened, why? And lower backpanel replaced with parts from another smock.
Maybey because off severe tear and wear, to still present a reasonable view on a mannequin?
I dont have a qlue.

In my honest opinion a rare full suit, jacket, pants and head wear, made of reiswolle? Felted wool with wooden buttons and no inner lining except for the same material as the outside,
but then in its original base gray wool color.
As you can see on the picture the suit is diagonally stitchted trough with black, very thin cotton thread presumably to keep the material in shape.
The pants are fashioned in the same way as the better know reversible winter parka suits.
First time in 50 years off collecting I had the change to aquire a suit like this in a near mint condition and as a complete matching set dated 41 and makers mark.
Also briefly mentioned, with pictures in Vincent Slegers excellent work Winter uniforms of the German Army and Luftwaffe in world war II. as an intermediate suit.
As information on these suits is rare I would like to know more on the subject.
So please, dear fellow collectors, share any info you might have on the subject to educated me still further.
