    Chris, sorry for late reply, yes I am,I agree, there must be a huge amount of stuff thrown away on a daily basis,I have been away offshore and working abroad a lot lately so haven't had the chance to get the detector out,I live on an old estate in Aberdeenshire with 2 ruined castles within half a mile,so you never know what might turn up.....might be a bit earlier than WWII though!

    Hi marks,
    My dad is a pal of your brother, you also may know him. Would love to have a good mooch about Carls yard for some bits and bobs, there must be loads of collectible stuff in there. If you are ever down this way visiting be sure to chuck your detector in the boot, if you have a spare couple of hours it'd be good to have some company detecting those airfields!
