So I had already bought this one back when I received negative feedback on my last ekm purchases, so my confidence is shot. I think it's a good one, but even after reading dozens of threads with tags, I'm just more confused on what's legit and what's not.

I looked this thing over, and I personally can't find anything wrong with it, but that doesn't mean much. It has a very slight ghosting of letters in the back, but I've seen threads with bloomed lettered disks with a clean bill of health so that's one reason why I am confused. The stamping is crisp, but so it is on all my other good disk halves, so that's another thing I'm not sure about. This is a somewhat early war tag, so no blood group. To me, this looks like it was dug up, and it feels that way, but I've been wrong before.

Thank goodness! I was waiting to hear from you. One day I hope to be able to replicate your knowledge on these things.

Now I can spill the beans.

The tag was found in the southern part of the Stalingrad region, where the 94th Infantry Division made its advance. Artillery Regiment 194 was a part of the 94th Division, and helped lob shells into the grain elevator during the battle.

The photo above is of a gun being fired by artillerie regiment 194.
