hy everybody. it's my first post also here and i have a question. i have a german erkennungsmarke: 1. SS DF 49, on the back: SS VT. is it real or fake? please, help me!

Welcome along Nordvargr, would have been good to start a fresh thread for this one. it does look unused, which would be odd for an original Ekm to Der Fuhrer. These also appear with different fonts too. I'd be interested to hear what others think about it, but I'm not convinced it is real either.

Fake-fake-fake. This tag debated on 2 russian resources. And all collectors tell one. And i, who collected only SS Reich tell one - fake!

I agree with Nikitaa, the Lettische SS emarke is original. The other one looks weird and I personally don't like the way Waffen-SS is stamped on the reverse. In my opinion the font and the SS runes are incorrect.

Like the Lettische Ekm, not keen on "number 7" manufactured siegrunes though.
