As i am not a specialist in ss dog tags, i have to ask. Why is there no company on the dogtag? The tag was found in northern france.

Interesting question. I have a SS Pioneer tag with no company as well.
The SS pionier units were numbered by the parent unit so the number 9 is "Hohenstaufen" and the 2 is "Das Reich". you also see them with only SS-VT or waffen-ss.
I am not a fan of the top post, not saying it is bad but I don't like the font. The second one is similar to other originals that I have seen.
Helpfull answers, thanks for that. Do you have any other examples to show? I could only find that one.
I'm not sure about the open style S siegrunes. Do you know where it was found?
Found in nord pas-de-calais.
One other small thing, I have not seen pionere disks abbreviated with the "PIO" like these two, only "Pi"
I see the "PIO" as OK. Here is another original one. The second dog tag of my second post is a copy. (thanks to michal)
