Article about: As i am not a specialist in ss dog tags, i have to ask. Why is there no company on the dogtag? The tag was found in northern france.

    Interesting question. I have a SS Pioneer tag with no company as well.

    The SS pionier units were numbered by the parent unit so the number 9 is "Hohenstaufen" and the 2 is "Das Reich". you also see them with only SS-VT or waffen-ss.

    I am not a fan of the top post, not saying it is bad but I don't like the font. The second one is similar to other originals that I have seen.

    I'm not sure about the open style S siegrunes. Do you know where it was found?

    One other small thing, I have not seen pionere disks abbreviated with the "PIO" like these two, only "Pi"

    Agreed, not seen the Pi0 abbreviation before, note the Use of a 0 rather than O. Curious.

    I see the "PIO" as OK. Here is another original one. The second dog tag of my second post is a copy. (thanks to michal)
