Gentlemen,
What is the A.1 for in this Signal Platoon of the 24th Flak Regiment?
Only seen numbers that identify the individual.

I’ve got a similar example. I subsequently read that having an “A” prefix meant a civilian member rather than enlisted person.

Possibly, or perhaps the tea boy who got called to the colours when the replacements ran out?
