No such unit within Waffen SS, it’s been altered

There was a 63rd grenadier division of the Waffen SS as far as i know... They never saw combat but did existed briefly... I send a link to another tag i found online...

As the others guys have said, this doesn’t look right. The SS Waffen looks out of place, as if it was added to a Heer example.

I would read the Erkennungsmarke abbreviations as -

Brückenkolonne B/158 (From Pionier-Bataillon 158).

Will, you are right... Lol im a dumbass now i see it yes the SS was faked on to the tag...

Hi Ben.

Not at all lol and this forum is a great place where we all can learn something new. We all get things wrong at times, me included.

The best advice I can give is to look at original examples and also learn about different types of unit abbreviations.

As Willmore has already realised, the ekm is an original Pioneer bridging unit that someone has added Waffen SS details. Such additions make the item worthless in most collectors eyes. A good original ruined by someone else’s greed.
