This looks good to me. Dr Erich Jensen wore his erkennungsmarke as per 1942 regulations and it identifies him as medical officer reserve. I can find no record of him being crew aboard any surface vessel or otherwise. It looks in excellent condition and will be 5cm across rather than the normal 7cm seen for Heer, Luftwaffe or Paramilitary units.
Thanks for the answer my friend.
I also could not find information about Dr Erich Jensen and his service on the ship.
He was transferred to the reserve in 1936. Could he not have taken part in the 1939-1945 war?
Yes it's entirely possible he was active during WW2. I did a very quick search earlier and found a Dr Erich Jensen who was in the Reichmarine before WW1. I doubt that this is the same person and sadly without a Soldbuch or other documents it is not really possible to find out more.
It is interesting. Thanks.
I'm upset, but Soldbuch can't be accessed.
That would be a really interesting story indeed. Maybe...
Can you send me a link to Dr Erich Jensen who was in the Reichmarine?
Why do you think they are different people?
Many thanks to BlackCat1982.
Discussed the token. So far, everyone likes him. Me too.
Comrades, do you have opinions about this token?
Nice early one made of anodized aluminium.
A Dr. Erich Jensen qualified as a medical doctor in 1922/23. He is listed in the Reichs Medizinal Kalender of 1935 as being in practice in Harburg-Wilhelmsburg (Hamburg) at Kirchenallee 33. No other Erich Jensen is listed so presumably your man.
Regards
Glenn
