That's a nice example of a regular Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon disc- that is Infantry-Replacement-Battalion- you can find the number using the Lexikon der Wehrmacht link in the permanent thread at the beginning of the section list. It'll indicate which field Regimenter the unit regularly supplied and from there you can work out possibilites of where this solder might have served.
Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
