I don't really get it myself, but there are numerous photos of these guys in the tanks with the patches. Appently they had tanks, though they were classified as infantry. Like I said, I don't know, but the evidence is out there.by Paul D
This tank was attributed to the Railsplitters.
I've actually studied the Railsplitters as a good friend of mine from SC's Grandfather was with them in Europe and i talk about them quite a bit when i Guide Tours to the Battle of the Bulge etc and i know they didn't have any Armoured component . They had Independant Tank Bn's attached to them but those units had their own patch !!

Well that's strange. My firend said that he was in a tank for sure, and wore the patch as well. Might have been some sort of anomaly.
