Panzer ID Disk

Article about: Hello guys, I found an ID Disk that looks okay to me, but I do not know a thing about ID disks, so my opinion doesn't really count, lol! Obviously it's in corroded condition, and it's been c

    Only a slight query the Railsplitters were an Infantry Division and had no component Tank unit ?
    The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

    I don't really get it myself, but there are numerous photos of these guys in the tanks with the patches. Appently they had tanks, though they were classified as infantry. Like I said, I don't know, but the evidence is out there.

    I've actually studied the Railsplitters as a good friend of mine from SC's Grandfather was with them in Europe and i talk about them quite a bit when i Guide Tours to the Battle of the Bulge etc and i know they didn't have any Armoured component . They had Independant Tank Bn's attached to them but those units had their own patch !!

    Well that's strange. My firend said that he was in a tank for sure, and wore the patch as well. Might have been some sort of anomaly.
