I think I can sum up my thesis, saying that the Spanish were more disorganized and less careful with their uniforms than their German comrades ... but they were just as brave.
By the way, I am going to tell you an anecdote that is not very well known. That German fashion of wearing the ribbon of his medals in the buttonhole of his uniform jacket; did not like the Spanish soldiers very much. They said it was like wearing half medals ...
That is why in Spain, they always wore their EK2 or KvK with the ribbon in the buttonhole, but with the full size medal as well.

This is an interesting thread, I thought about collecting Spanish Civil War medals as I have a small collection of 7,92 ammo used in the war, but decided to collect the WWI Victory medal in all its forms. So now it has sparked my interest again.....thank you....paul
