Polizei-Waffenschule III Den Haag Holland
Polizei-Waffenschule IV Maastricht Holland Years ago we were the first to open a kriegsmarine headquarters bunker position after the end of the war. And found papers from the kriegsmarine also for the schnellboot abzeichen. This was the headquarters of the Fuhrer der schnellboote. We also found stamps and papers from the POL waffenschule the hague/den haag. In 1944 the Kriegsmarine left the bunkers and went to the hinterland. The Polizei then occupied this bunker headquarters until the end of the war.

from where it was transferred by rail to Idritsa. The next morning, the regiment went in the direction of Nevel and Lake Yasnoye, where it met the advancing units of the Red Army.
Having taken a defensive position, on November 7, the Latvians encountered strong advanced units, but withstood the first blows, suffering heavy losses.
For the next two months, the remnants of the regiment and the 313th and 316th police battalions were transferred to threatened areas of defense and plugged gaps in the defense.
On January 12, 1944, a new Soviet offensive began on the Nevelsk sector of the front. From mid-January to mid-March, the regiment was still used as a fire brigade.
Only in March 1944, he was withdrawn from the front line to Latvia for reorganization. In mid-July 1944, the regiment left Latvia and arrived in Vitebsk under the command of the group

26. Schutzmannschaft Bataillon
The 26th Tukums police battalion was created by lieutenant colonel Alfred Gredzens on March 26, 1942 in Tukums and Jaunmok from volunteers from the Tukums, Bauska and Jelgava counties.
In early June 1942, the battalion received an order to withdraw to Belarus, parts of the battalion left between June 12 and 19, heading for the Parafyanovo station in the Begomlya-Pleschenitsa district, the headquarters arrived only on June 27. At that time, there were 473 people in the battalion. Upon arrival, the battalion also received two blue buses from Riga. Initially, the battalion carried out guard duty, but from July 9, it was involved in the fight against partisans, initially in the area of source of the Berezin River.
In the course of operations against the partisans, complex counterintelligence tasks were also carried out - officer Adamson, disguised as a Russian peasant, infiltrated the partisan brigade as an emissary from Moscow and lived there for 24 hours, obtaining information about partisan informants in the German communications center.
In late August 1942, the 26th Tukums Battalion participated in a wider anti-partisan campaign known as "Swamp Fever" (German: Sumpffieber).
In total, about 2300 people of the Waffen-SS, 3750 people of subordinate order police and about 800 people of the SD took part in it. During the operation, 389 partisans were killed in battle, 1,274 suspects were convicted and shot, and 2,350 Jews were executed. The operation began on 24 August and for its time the battalion was incorporated into the Barkholt Police Regiment.
When the battalion commander changed on August 25, the command was temporarily taken over by the commander of the 3rd company, captain Rudzitis, and the 26th battalion participated in the first sub-operation Sumpffieber-Nord
Treuenfeld 1, in addition, the 24th Talsi battalion and the 26th battalion were to block the Polov-Kashele-Osovets-Domzherichi-Kreiska line west of Postrekhtse.
On August 26, the 26th battalion was transferred to Nidal and Brody, where it participated in the 4th Sumpfiber Sub-Operation Sumpfiber-Nord Barkholt, combing the forests in the Mosticki area,
Khemki and Milnitsy. Until the end of the campaign on August 28, the 26th battalion practically did not come into contact
with partisans, reporting only one enemy shot at the end of the operation.
On September 6, a new commander, lieutenant colonel Karlis Aperats, arrived and the battalion was transferred to Tukhovichi, but on September 16 the battalion was again transferred to Hemioli, where, together with
The 18th Kurzeme battalion participated in combing the forest. and railroad security. On September 23 and 25, parts of the battalion were transferred to Kopila, where they were again used in the fight against partisans.
On October 31, the battalion was transferred to the Kozekov area, where it was used in the fight against significant partisan forces. On November 6, the battalion was assigned to the defense of Minsk, as the German leadership believed that the enemy would try to capture the city on the anniversary of the October Revolution.
On November 12, 1942, the battalion left for Riga by train, but was sent to Kraslava, where the battalion received winter uniforms and used German uniforms. On November 18, an order was received to go to the area of Lake Ilmen in the Novgorod region. On the morning of November 23, they reached the Grigorovo station, about 3 km from Novgorod, and immediately took up positions at the front.Uniforms of the German Air Force were issued, the battalion was subordinate to the 1st Field Division of the German Air Force. On its sector of the front, the battalion participated in local battles with the enemy and conducted reconnaissance.
On March 6, 1943, the battalion was subordinated to the headquarters of the 58th German rifle division, the German soldiers were placed between the battalion units at the front, dispersing the battalion.
From March 9 to March 11, the enemy launched a massive strike in the area of the 58th division, losing about 11,000 people killed, the 1st company of the 26th battalion also took part in the battles.
On March 28 and 29, the 2nd and 3rd companies of the battalion were transferred to Krasnoye Selo near Leningrad, the rest of the units also arrived in the coming days. On April 9, the battalion was transferred to Duderhof-Ost, where preparations began before incorporation into the Latvian Legion. On April 19, the 26th Tukums Battalion was included in the 43rd SS Grenadier Regiment of the 2nd Latvian SS Volunteer Brigade as the 2nd Battalion.
