I am in need of help in identifying this tag please. Is this real? What unit? Not really familiar with these tags

This has me stumped. My guess would be that it refers to the II Bataillon of a Polizei regiment? Anyone else have any thoughts? From the style of disk I think it is original.

This is possible although it isn't easy to tell from the photo. I agree Willmore the N could indeed refer to Nachrichten.
