Early member of SS Pz Pi KP/ SS Pz Rgt 5 , this is a great authentic tag to a combat engineer with a Panzer Regiment.
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )
1st July 1916
Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
Unbelivable!
I have a tag exactly like this but with number 30. Mine comes from Czech Republic. These guys must have known themselves.
World is very small even after 65 years!
Al
mr dogtag.
Can we see your tag for comparison?
Best regards

There is not much to compare. It looks exactly the same except the number.

MR Dogtag - It would be nice to see yours, just to compare the condition and maybe you
could tell us where you found yours.
Dimas that is a nice ERK.
Is it a Narva find?

Great mate. Was the soldier found too or just the tag?
Do any ERKs with ''Wiking'' stamp exist? I have only seen unit marked ones and after research they turned to belong to the Wiking division.
