WH Construction Unit EKM Bau. Kp. 2/44

Picked up this tag at an antique shop yesterday. It's got some residue on it from some kind of display, but a little Goof-Off should clean t up. It's hard to read, but it says "Bau. Kp. 2/44"


Would the 44 be part of a battalione or a Brigaden?

I think this is the correct unit and 44 should be the Bataillon, but hopefully BC will be along soon to confirm or correct.
