I am not sure if the card is correct or not, but to me it does look like it. I did find Wilhelm on the Volksbund website. Have a look at the link:

I think that's the guy on the card, but why is his unit one that fought at Konigsberg where the helmet was found? A different guy?

That's the one I originally found, but ancestry.com never found any record of him. Like absolutely nothing.I found the "other" Wilhelms card I guess, and assumed that it was the same guy because the info was somewhat close, though birth dates were off. Darn it, #1 rule in genealogy is to never assume!
