WW2 bomb found on Brondesbury Park building site - BBC News

I've visited this building site a couple of times on business () - there used to be a large Edwardian house there and the bomb must have dropped into the large garden at the rear.

The exclusion zone has now been extended a further 300 yards, 20 schools were closed today as was a nearby railway line.

Yes, those WWII relics can linger on......sadly, doesn't look like I'll be able to add this one to my collection !

Its just been made safe apparently. Shame it will have to be destroyed? Do you think it may have been on a delayed action fuse and not gone off ??

You should have given me a call, we could have done a bit of 'Night Hawking'. I have the engine hoist and I am sure it would have fitted in the back of the car with the rear seats folded flat.

...but I do hate loud noises if you go over a speed hump a bit quickly.....
