Layout of a Standard RAF WW2 Airfield?
Hi,
I have done a search on here but not found what I'm looking for, can anyone point me towards a site which details the standard or different layouts of a WW2 Raf Bomber Airfield, I am looking for the layouts of crew living quarters, ablutions block, cookhouses, etc...
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Perce,
Thanks for the tip, I hadn't heard of that series of books, I have just found a good secondhand copy of the Midlands area on Amazon.co.uk
Thanks again,

Steve.
Just a thought, if you are interested in a particular airfield you can get plans of all RAF airfields from the RAF museum. If you go to their web site you can request plans and they will send you a full size copy for a couple of quid.

Re: Layout of a Standard RAF WW2 Airfield?
Dear Steve123
We live on an old Coastal command airfield and want to find out more about it. You said you had old photos of airfield nearby at St Mawgan.
Do you have them of St Eval?
We would like to know if and when Catalinas flew here as all streets named from aircraft which flew from here.
Also there are rumours about an old underground hospital and love to know what happened to that as some area's still remain.
Thanks
