Nice stuff - but some minor clarifications the B type is an Aussie 'B' missing it's forehead strap and inner ear cushions and chinstrap - it is different in construction from the British B. Your British O2 mask is not a G it is a postwar H type, if you look on the strap you'll find the NSN number and next to the Mic on the RH side there should be a date moulded into the body typically month-year e.g. '8-53' for Manufactured August 1953.
Was the HGU and RAAF issue?
-
As far as i know the HGU was RAAF issue.

Nice collection, Greg.
Does the Topgun helmet have a designation on it. It looks a bit HGU-52/P.
Cheers, Willie.
