Lenin Order Late Version

Hello, I believe this to be a genuine Lenin Order and it is either a Type 5 or 6(one place says Type 6 another says Type 5). Any other input is greatly appreciated

Could you tell if it is a 23KT or 18KT or will you have to have it in hand?

I ask because the one I had before that tested 18KT was described as a 23KT and this one here is also described as 23KT.

As I wrote on the WAF as well, it is not possible to determine the kt by pics. And furthermore, the 18 vs 23 Kt question was already asked and answered before, including the reason why 18Kt Lenin's can be found.

That said, if you buy this award only for the gold content than do a test to be certain of the amount of Kt. If you are interested in this award, it's original awardee and his/her history than the amount of Kt is not important at all.

It seems to be a perfectly original Order of Lenin, and all of these were made of 23 carat gold (well, 22.8 carat to be precise), so I wouldn't consider a purity test necessary.
