Medal “Defence of Odessa” - Voenkomat

I recently bought this medal, and I am fairly certain that it is an original. Of course, one can always have suspicions. I got as good as I can get closeups to important details.




The suspension ring is cut, and the suspension/ribbon itself is probably a newer one.



The ‘ear’ looks correct to what voenkomats are, and are similar to examples sold on sovietorders.com.



The reverse text looks correct. The “Ю” in the word “СОВЕТСКУЮ” appears to be a fraction higher than the “У”. The shape of “Д” in “РОДИНУ” is also accurate, as the bottom line is thin on the left, and slightly thick on the right.




The spacing between the letters, and the rim of the Medal appears to be good too.



I have also noticed that in the voenkomat version, there appears to be a ‘bubble’ between the sailors arm, and torso. It appears on all voenkomats that I have looked at, but doesn’t seem to appear on the war versions.

I believe it is an original, but if anyone knows real/fake, please do tell me. Good Day!

One of the more "difficult" campaign medals for me but I also think it's a good voenkomat version.
