Medals for the defense of Sebastopol & victory over Germany

Hi all.

I have just bought these two medals, and I would like to know if these are original Soviet medals or not.

It seems that the medal for the defence of sebastopol has at some point had rust that has been cleaned off.

I payed 45€ for both of them.

If any one could help me, it would be very apreciated.

The VoG is good. The Sevastopol medal is highly doubtful based on these crappy pics. Good pics are needed but don't have high hopes for this one.

Yep, looks like a poorly sand-cast copy (although I am not an expert on copies of Soviet awards.)
Here's a side by side comparison of a good one versus OP's medal:
I do think the suspension is original and that does have some value by itself.

That's generally also a good indicator of something being fake. If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Yes Auke. You are right. But in this case the risk was not very high and I didn't have any of these two medals.
