Opinions on this medal For the Defence of Odessa

Hi fellow collectors,

I am once again looking for your wisdom.

Since this is the last campaign medal I still need in order to complete my collection, I have been fanatically searching for a proper piece.

Recently this one has come up at an auction. It is supposedly cleared by an supervising 'expert' but I still think it is important to stay cautious with these kind of medals.
Eventhough I have an excellent reference in the shape of The Comprehensive Guide to Soviet Orders and Medals by Paul McDaniel and Paul J. Schmitt, I would really appreciate some second opinions.

This is especially the case since a lot of the important details have been washed off this particular medal.

So, what do you think? Any insights are appreciated!

But why do you want to discuss a medal that was bought by another person ??
