Hello, this is an Order of the patriotic war issued in 1985.
The hammer and sickle are scratched and the sickle doesn't have that outline that most have, also the golden is a little silverish looking.
Is this real? Would anyone have a reason to reproduce this specific model since the originals go for rather cheap?

Looks original to me. I don't believe these are faked as they are quite common.

Original. But damn, what a horrible pics. Try daylight instead of under a lamp next time.
Edit: and it is silverish because this is a 2nd class OPW.

These are almost always an original, as there would be no profit in making fakes of the 1985 order. According to the defunct website soviet-screwbacks.com (Link does not go to website, but can be found via Wayback), this would be made by the Bron Factory. Sadly, I don’t understand the name, or know where it is from. Maybe another here may know? Here is a screenshot of the numbers, and the respective making factories of the 2nd Class of the OPW. To see the rest, you may copy the website and find it on Wayback.

Not defunct. I've used this, admittedly weird, address for years: MedalsMarket ? - Global Militaria Collectors superstore. Russian Imperial, Soviet and other countries Orders, Medals, Badges and related memorabilia

'Bron' stands for Bronnitsky Jewelry Factory, which up to this day is actually still operational as a jewelry manufacturer.
