I found a 105mm casing in an attic and have been looking thru the forums to try and learn anything I can about this casing.
I do not know if these questions can even be answered. Or point somewhere to find information on it.
What was this shot out of? Was it used over seas or here in the states?
Here are the numbers on the bottom.

M2 and m4 means it could be fire from either a m2a1 howitzer or m4 means it could be fired from a m4 sherman with a 105mm cannon or other vehicles with a 105mm. To know if it was fired over seas or in the US i would assume is near impossible. If you could speak to the owner of the attic about it they might know
