I got these 37mm shells yesterday from a friend. He didn't know what they were, and neither do I. My guess is that they date to around WWI, but I have no idea. They have both been fired, with one being only slightly warped and the other damaged on the bottom. None of the two are marked in any way unfortunately. The one has a deep fuse cavity, and the other has part of the fuse snapped inside. I assume both are HE shells because they both have very large cavities in the bottom. I'm not sure what else to write that would be of any help other than thanks in advance.

    Are you sure they're 37mm?
The shape looks more like 40mm Bofors

My calipers have them at 37mm. They do however look "boforlike"

Then they're most likely 37mm TP-T Training rounds, I'm pretty sure they turned up mid WW2

HE is unlikely in this state, the tracer was also a thermal self destruct

Thanks! I never would have found that, I didn't really even look at WWII ammo.
