    Hello ,

I got my hands on a set of m24 empty grenade body’s in a fairly good condition .( ground dug relics )
But was looking for some original sticks to complete them .
I found one but not yet in my possession ( next week i guess it wil arrive by mail)
It only has one piece of the top collar and a part of the bottom of an old body wich i want to remove to restore the threads so this will fit my body .
My question is : should i try and feed the wood with some kind of lineseed oil or is there any other way to preserve the wood without taking away the relic look ?
I believe this was a waterfound . ( also see a crack but do not know is this goes al the way around )
    Kind regards to all .

No need for oil. Can apply some renaissance wax which will seal it. Display environment should be monitored.
