I have had this 105mm shell for a some time and I have tried to find out what it is. There is no visible markings and I am not sure if the paint is original. It is 275mm long, 105,2mm wide and with rotating band it is 108,7mm wide. Rotating band is 13,23mm wide and the place for a fuze is 30,54mm.
I have a hunch that this could be a German ww1 10.5 cm Luftminenwerfer M 15 shell but I,m not sure.
And of course this is completely inert shell.
    Can you identify this?

The giveaway on this one is the Fuze well. The thread is not at the shell mouth but inside stepped in! I believe it is for the French Schneider M1915 Nose fuze which was designed for the 105mm.
I'm unsure if this was also a German use shell / Fuze combination but it was the only likely match that I found.

    Hope this helps,
    R

    No.
    It's German alright
The Schneider Mle 1915 Fuzes were not screwed directly into the shell, and the Thread would have to be finer.

This is a Pre-WW1 german Shell that found limited usage in the War.
The most common of it's Type are the 12cm and 15cm 80 (P) Shells. They're filled with Gunpowder (Hence the P in the Name).
