Hello all,

I acquired this piece several years ago locally and have been puzzled by it since. It bears a small brass plaque with the inscription “3’ Mortar Bomb Mark III / Made by Crocker Wheeler Elec. MFG Co.” The mortar itself appears to be stamped with “C.S 3’ MOR 10 LBS III C.W. 。41” Crocker Wheeler did produce a turret used by the US during the War but I’ve been unable to locate anything in my research about their production of mortars let alone for Britain. Given the date, could this be a piece destined for Lend Lease? Perhaps a presentation example given to a factory foreman etc? Any wisdom would be appreciated!
