    They're 7.62mm casings, marked 'L46A1', which is the British L number designation for the machine gun of the same name. It's a drill variant of the L7 GPMG.

    The dates appear to be '09', rather than '60'.

    I think CBC is the manufacturer of the rounds. Serach for "CBC MagTech", it is a large ammo manufacturer that supplies the military and civilian market too. I agree that the date is 2009.

    Cheers everyone my son gave them to me bless him he's collecting and seriously knowledgeable on the Third Reich in fact knows more than me...........
