    That's really nice! Was the small knife and fork used for ceremonial meals? They look too fancy to be intended for everyday use.

    It comes from the German Traditional hunting knives, which would carry a small knife and fork for eating. They would be used on ceremonial occasions, the Dirk would be used to cut the Haggis on Robby Burns day etc. The small knife has been sharpened and shows some use.
