What is the difference between a military and a commercial Glock Knife M78/M81.
Is it possible to say if it is military or a commercial knife?
Best,
Stefan

Yes there should be Bundesheer proofstempel, when not so its commerzial, mainly by designation as majority of M1981 were commerzial. But Reibert is here the expert on Glock knives.
Thank you, AndyB and thank you for the link, Reibert!
I believe there are rather many countries who have adopted the Glock M78/1981 knife as a field knife.
I was just curious on the different markings. Next week I will see how the Danish one is marked.
I think it will be "Danmark M/96" on both blade and sheath.
Was curious on the markings of the other countries which have adopted the Glock knife as a military field knife.
Guess, the commercial ones have no markings at all except of course, Glock model and Austria.

There are many reproductions already from China and other areas, which are in majority unmarked.
Possibly of interest?
AES Knife Solingen Germany
This knife is attributed to the manufacturer AES / Anette Eickhorn, Solingen.
I cannot say whether this knife, like GLOCK's FMsr78, was also offered to the Austrian Armed Forces / Österreichisches Bundesheer and actually issued by the ÖBH for test purposes, as is sometimes assumed.
In any case, there is no reliable information about it.
Apparently the GLOCK Feldmesser 78 / FMsr78 was also used by the NAVY SEALS!
I didn't even know!

That was a very informative video Reibert. Thank you for posting a link. I only knew of about half of them.
