hi, nice item ,very well made and has some age to it . logo appears to say jager upper part, cant make out lower part of logo..cheers paul
It is definitely custom made, but I do not think it is very old,
judging by the style of the logo.
I also think it may be an imported/offshore piece.......
Regards,
Steve.
I also thought about the logo style, maybe it is new but the wear of the steel looks old, how can I find out who made it, when or where?
Steel and brass can be artificially aged within a short period.
I tried a Google search, but it did not turn up anything under 'Jaeger Knives'.
There are many manufactures of knives from the Orient, India or Indonesia
that could have made this dagger within the last 10 or 15 years.
I recall one brand - 'Junglee'............
Regards,
Steve.
I dont believe it says Jager. Possibly Jangon or Jaagen. Too many letters for jager. Anyway nice knife. Possibly a theater piece from late 1800's?
i think youll find that the lower marking says KNIVES, the "K", is obscured by the rust, and i think the top logo does say JAEGER,,just googled the name and there is a very similar one being sold on fleabay, it says its a custom made usually with either a bone or stag handle, i would think this was a one off made for someone
