Looks like one for a Italian MAB-38 sub machine gun. Rich A. in Pa.
Yes, it is for the Beretta 38A, but has brass fornitures, so it is for the post war model, the 38A-44, that was sold to Egypt during years 1950-1955:
Many dishonest people pretend it is for pre-war Beretta 38A for the PAI and ask crazy amounts.
Hi there and welcome , you have there a very nice model 1938 Beretta Folding Bayonet , these are reasonably scarce and pricewise i would guess about £130 to £150

Always a little further : it may be
Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow
Across that angry or that glimmering sea...
I have seen many italian bayonets, but I was not able to find any information or pictures of this ringless brass model.
does anyone know about information sorce on the web and maybe share a link?
I have many sources for informations about these bayonets but they are only in italian language, like this one:
Baionetta ripiegabile 91/38 - page 2
Sorry.
thank you, but again this is the normal italian bayonet, where was this brass model used and when? and why brass and not steel.
does anyone know?
Have you seen the whole post? There is also one photo of a brass one.
Again: the brass model was produced only for egyptian MABs of years 1950 ahead. The iron model was produced only for the few pre-war MABs for the PAI (Polizia Africa Italiana = Italian Afrika Police) on 1939. Perhaps 500 units produced.
I am sorry for my bad english but what is MABs?
and again thank you for your help.
MAB = Moschetto Automatico Beretta
Cheers, Ade.
