It looks a bit like the bayonet they use on the Steyr AUG rifle, i've seen Irish and Anzac troops carrying something similar, although I think they have a type of lug for fitting on the rifle. The saw back makes that illegal though under the Geneva convention or something like that I think, so maybe it's a survival type knife, as it looks like you could cut a giant redwood down with it?
