    Well it purports to be a Spanish made briquet type sabre, as used by the Mexican Artillery in the 1840's, but the poor brass hilt casting, blade inscription, lack of a ricasso, makes me doubt it's Spanish made. It's possibly a Mexican made copy, perhaps late 19th Century, or it could be a complete fake. Not a sword to spend much money on
    i would think.
