US M1917 Bolo Knife Example

I picked this one up with the other one I posted. The M1917 is nearly identical to the M1910. The model M1917 has a parkerized blade and does not have the catch that locks it into the scabbard. The blade has been messed with a bit, but the scabbard is very nice and someone was kind enough to stamp my initials on the scabbard cover 100 years ago. Not sure what it actually means though.

I really like the look of these bolos. I bit the bullet and got a 1910 model from the US a few years ago but it wasn't cheap. I wanted a 1917 model but couldn't find a decent one for the right price.
