The M9 was actually a decent knife/bayonet.
I carried one when I was stationed in Berlin in the 80's-90's and the wire cutting device on the knife was very useful when clearing barbed wire obstacles. For individual use it was a handy tool, but we did discover that heavier bolt cutters and wire cutters were also needed to be carried in an Infantry squad in the attack when the M9 was not practical to use since it was attached to the Soldiers web gear.
I have an Ontario version that I keep in one of my survival bags. The only thing that the Ontario knife is lacking is the built-in sharpening stone in the scabbard/sheath.

Great examples of the M9 Reibert. I really like this knife & bayonet system. I gather them when opportunity arises, cannot say I collect them. I have a few different examples that I posted a while ago but could not find my post. They are not very common to find in the US market any more. I used to be able find them at any gun show I would attend or set up at. I wished I would have bought more variations when I had the chance.
