Hello
What are your thoughts on this bayonet boot knife?
No markings anywhere.
6 inch blade.
I was thinking Italian bayonet?
WW1/WW2 ?
Thank you
Tony

Greetings,
It is a modified American Krag Bayonet. See subject's line for nomenclature. As this bayonet pre-dates WWI, it could have been modified/carried in WWI and/or WWII. That said, most of these cut down/privately converted US Krag Bayonets were soldier done/made during WWI. During both wars, these bayonets were still available in large stocks/surplus and even though they happen to fit the M-1903 Springfield Rifle, they were no longer a front line issued item.
Best,
V/r Lance
