British MkII with Flash

Heres another from my lot.
A 1940 British, RO & Co....Rubery Owen & Co Ltd Darlaston MkII with another rare liner maker E&R 1940.
It also has a flash on the side that i havnt identified,any ideas.

Any help on the GN 054 would be good too.

The flash is, i believe, Royal Army Service Corps. I would guess "G.N. 054" is the initials of his name, followed by the last 3 digits of his service number.

Hi Mick,
Do you have a fetish for rare liners, that's another one. I'm guessing that in 1940/41 with the big push to produce helmets because of the shortage, they sourced manufacturers albeit small ones who had the right tooling for short contracts.
A helmet with a flash on are becoming harder to find, well done.
