British MKII What does this Ink stamp inside the shell mean?

Article about: Hi Looking at a MKII at the moment, it has this ink stamp on the inside of the shell, anybody recognise it? Thanks Chris

    Hi Phil
    Yes 1955 and the one In the helmet just above this post (#9) must have been refurbished in 1954.

    Possibly the number represents the year of refurb, I have no idea for whom they were for.

    Managed to win the auction, now the difficult bit, trying to get a liner From the same era as the refurb.
