Thanks for pointing this out. Im sure it would make the display more complete to have a short spike bayonet with an MkII helm between these to helmets. Or a Fairbairn–Sykes with it could do to!

Your M38 is actually a M38C. The C of course stands for civilian. The helmet you show does not hace a military background. It was purpouly made for civilian use. Which includes police use.
The extra holes on your M40C puzzle me!

DUTCH HELMETS do rely have an odd desighn!
Collectors in The Netherlands think the design of the M27 might be based on the US "Liberty Bell".
