    Hi friends… thought i would just post some pics of this recent purchase… i believe its an early home fronter? Nicely dated 39 shell, and 38 liner.

    The finish is an eggshell ish khaki - i used to think these early ones with this finish were army, but i believe if its not textured, its home front? Nice honest helmet, i thought. Never seen a 38 dated liner either…

    A lot of these smooth khaki green ones were over painted black, to try and have uniformity in the ARP.
    You'll have to get a 1937 dated liner now.
