    There looks to be a lot of paint over pitting/ paint loss, which is not a good sign.
    But see what other opinions there are.

    Agreed. What better way to get rid of a rusty old shell - paint it with left over Humbrol and flog it on ebay.

    Always a minefield, camo helmets. I think I have to agree that it looks suspicious. The fact that there is paint going over the clean polished rim looks like a sign that the paint is not period applied. Look at the grey paint at photo 6.

    I would pass on this one.
