Help identifying helmet.....

If it’s made of manganese steel, which a combat helmet should be, it would be non-magnetic. Manganese steel was primarily chosen for its strength, but I imagine it being non-magnetic was viewed as a plus, whether it was intentional or not.

A nice Mk1 HSAT, being non magnetic so as not to interfere with a compass.
