Hessian helmet covers

Article about: Recently a number of New Zealand made hessian helmet covers have come on to the market. Most are in mint unissued condition, stored since the war. They are dated 1942 and made by B.C.N.B.Ltd

    fairly sure these some of these gunners are wearing Malta camouflaged hessian covers (without loops) . Anyone know for sure?

    Never noticed before, I wonder if they are Mk1 anti gas curtains?
    One man has one on this gun.

    Mk1 gas curtain or could be a Mk1 mosquito net only cover the rim, hard to tell, but don't think they are painted.

    Does look like a cover, most likely hessian in the vid.
    The picture I put up, three have shiny helmets, painted, while the other two, man loading gun and the sergeant definitely have covers.

    Posting so I can post my cover I bought years ago. Don't know if its Brit or not as I haven't looked at it in 5 years.
